Each week we will be interviewing a team member to learn more about them and their business. This week, I would like to introduce to you Steph of ABespokeTouch who joined Etsy in May, 2009. I spoke with Steph of ABespokeTouch and learned a lot of interesting information. Here is some of what she had to say.
What inspired you to make these beautiful flowers?
"I got married Oct 2009 and I actually started making them solely for that. They decorated my wedding invitations, and I made about 60 per table to have scattered at my reception. Up until then I had been making jewellery only but the reaction I received to my handmade flowers told me that perhaps this was an avenue that I needed to explore."
What is your favorite flower in your store?
"My favourite changes daily! But right now I'm loving Flicker purple, it is a 2 tone organza that just has such vibrancy."
Do you have other passions other than your flowers?
"I make handmade jewellery that has grown from completely metal in design while at uni and I had access to tools, to beading and incorporating my flowers since this is something I can do from home."
Do you have any advice for sellers just starting out?
"Get good photos, I have struggled with my photos the entire time I've been on Etsy, especially when I sold jewellery! A good camera and good natural light are key to making treasuries and good sales!"
What is your most memorable moment from school?
"I would say it was painting this really intricate village and sky scene on our auditorium wall it took forever and looked amazing but when the play was finished the janitor just painted over it again! I could have cried!"
Can you give us 3 things on your bucket list?
"My dreams are to own my own home, live to see my daughter get married and have a family, And to become wealthy enough to offer my daughter the support that my extended family have offered me."
What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment in life?
"My biggest accomplishment is having had my daughter, she's 2 now and so clever i feel proud of myself for creating her!"
Thank you to Steph of ABespokeTouch for taking the time to share with us. You can visit ABespokeTouch on Etsy, follower her blog, and visit her on twitter.

I love how it all started with your wedding...so sweet! Thanks for taking the time to let us get to know you more. I really enjoyed it!
Wonderful interview! Isn't crazy how some of our products are born? You do beautiful work. Maybe your daughter will follow in her mama's footsteps!
Love the interview! I can't wait to "meet" everyone!
So sweet... I love getting to learn a little more about teammates!
I have used your items in several treasuries and think you have incredible talent. The flowers you create have such appealing texture and are in the most gorgeous colors. It's wonderful to "meet" the person behind the product! Definitely looking forward to seeing much more of your work :)
I Love the combinations of colors you're using...gorgeous
I love your flowers! The colors, the texture and the way they appear to dance about the table, in some pics seemingly to float above it. They are perfect for when you want to set the mood for your special dinner! For the longest time I had to include your flowers in every treasury I made...lol the just added such elegance to each and every one!
Thanks so much everyone for all the brilliant comments!
